NTFS Security and Local (Interactive) Users
Yet the underlying NTFS permissions have never changed. My questions are: Where is this setting stored? What can set/reset it (ie change it's state) ? How is it used? FileSystemObject and copying files
To save time I went up to the folder and selecetd security tab abd advanced, then reset permissions on all child objects. It is possible that when I had contracted the nimda virus on a machine that had this drive installed it altered the files. I have a feeling I am SOL becuase NTFS is pretty secure. Chuck.

I have used an old program called Security Manager 2.02 from Wispro.de a long time ago but they do not appear to be around any longer with a later version. The problem is with the security permissions for the IWAM account, if I set the IIS process to low or add the IWAM account to the administrators group ASP works. I've verified the NTFS and Registry permissions as per this KB article (nearly all of them were at their default settings however I did reset a few):

I set the NTFS permissions on the web folder to allow the IUSR to write but whenever I create a sub folder using Visual Interdev or Frontpage (with frontpage extensions) of the folder where I set the permission the sub folder permissions are not inherited from the parent folder.
